We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to support the delivery of works at a 400kV Substation project in Norfolk. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will supervise civil activities on site, manage subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to National Grid standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil works on a live National Grid substation site
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations, HSQE policies, and Safe Systems of Work
- Set teams to work and monitor productivity, quality, and safety performance
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on site
- Issue and manage Permits to Dig
- Produce site reports and provide clear feedback to the Site Manager
- Lead by example in health, safety, quality, and environmental best practice
- Support the delivery of client KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Proven National Grid substation experience
- Relevant National Grid authorisations (civils discipline)
- SMSTS / SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
- CSCS (appropriate supervisor card)
- Strong civil supervision background on large infrastructure or T&D projects
- Full UK driving licence
Working Pattern
- Site-based role, Monday–Friday
- Long-term opportunity with 6-month rolling contracts
