Project: Vanguard 2 Converter Station

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a major infrastructure project based in Necton, Norfolk. This is an urgent, high-priority opportunity working on the Vanguard 2 Converter Station project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing civils works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of civils works across the project.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage programme, progress, resources and project delivery.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings and quality requirements.
  • Oversee steelwork and cladding activities.
  • Monitor health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting and progress updates.
  • Liaise with the wider project team, engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with relevant FRC/framework requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Civils Project Manager within major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong civils construction background.
  • Essential: experience managing steelwork and cladding packages.
  • Experience working on major energy, power, infrastructure or industrial projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within framework environments (FRC).
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety and quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and subcontractor management skills.
  • Ability to work predominantly site-based in Necton, Norfolk.
