Security Warden in Leiston

SECURITY WARDEN - NUCLEAR ENERGY

3 months initally, but will move to a long term position for the right candidate.

Build a long-term career in the nuclear energy sector while playing a vital role in maintaining the security, safety and professionalism of a highly regulated site.

We are looking for a professional and dependable Security Warden to join an established Security Team.

You will help control site access, welcome and monitor visitors and contractors, maintain accurate security records and ensure procedures are followed at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage visitor and guest access, accurately recording details and maintaining security logs.
• Check employee and contractor passes to ensure they are current and valid.
• Maintain accurate written records, pocket books, reports and associated documentation.
• Follow site security, health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Identify and report safety, security, technical or environmental issues.
• Plan and prioritise daily responsibilities to meet operational requirements.
• Complete relevant risk assessments and comply with site safety controls.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, contractors, visitors and client representatives.
• Contribute to team briefings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide additional or out-of-hours support when operationally required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Hold an appropriate SIA licence.
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
• Work effectively within a professional security team.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when completing records.
• Prioritise workloads and perform effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrate good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant IT systems.
• Show a proactive approach to health, safety and security.
• Be willing to undertake required site-specific training.
• Be flexible to work alternating 06:00-14:00 and 08:00-16:00 shifts.
