INTRODUCTION
This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-profile leadership role within one of the UKs most ambitious infrastructure programmes. As Rail Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal part in delivering complex rail projects that directly support the future of clean energy. You will work at scale, influence critical decisions, and collaborate with industry-leading partners on a nationally significant megaproject. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the safe end-to-end delivery of major rail infrastructure projects
- Define scope and manage interfaces across multi-disciplinary programme teams
- Develop and execute implementation plans aligned to cost, schedule, quality and safety
- Coordinate resources and maintain SQEP capability across delivery teams
- Manage stakeholders including regulators, contractors and external partners
- Control risk, change, cost and schedule using EVM principles
- Oversee contractor performance, schedules and rolling programmes
- Ensure compliance with contract, environmental and sustainability requirements
- Maintain delivery milestones, reporting progress to senior stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proven delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary rail projects end-to-end
- Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear, infrastructure or energy
- Strong EPCM and complex contract management background
- Expertise in cost, risk, schedule and change control
- Working knowledge of Network Rail standards and rail assurance processes
- Experience managing NEC contracts and commercial claims
- Ability to lead diverse teams and complex project interfaces
- Degree-qualified with chartered status (or working towards)
- PTS, CSCS and sound knowledge of CDM Regulations
