Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering design activities across the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop technical specifications, calculations and design justifications.
  • Support systems engineering and requirements capture activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and quality standards.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables from junior engineers.
  • Mentor and support the development of less experienced colleagues.
  • Engage with clients, regulators and project stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, risk management and cost estimation.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and documentation.
  • Build strong relationships to deliver innovative client solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience within nuclear or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HV systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Experience producing specifications, datasheets and electrical drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical system analysis tools such as ETAP.
  • Knowledge of relevant BS, IEC, IEEE and safety standards.
  • Strong technical reporting and deliverable review experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
