Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Develop technical specifications, calculations and design justifications.
- Support systems engineering and requirements capture activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and quality standards.
- Review and approve technical deliverables from junior engineers.
- Mentor and support the development of less experienced colleagues.
- Engage with clients, regulators and project stakeholders.
- Support project planning, risk management and cost estimation.
- Produce high-quality technical reports and documentation.
- Build strong relationships to deliver innovative client solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience within nuclear or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of HV systems and associated infrastructure.
- Experience producing specifications, datasheets and electrical drawings.
- Understanding of electrical system analysis tools such as ETAP.
- Knowledge of relevant BS, IEC, IEEE and safety standards.
- Strong technical reporting and deliverable review experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
