Key Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous, notified, and planned surveillance to ensure works are constructed in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Notify the Construction Superintendent of non‐conformance requests and contribute to issuing non‐conformance reports.
  • Proactively communicate with site teams to ensure timely surveillance reporting.
  • Contribute surveillance information to support key performance indicators.
  • Identify potential quality issues early to enable proactive mitigating actions.
  • Support temporary measures to maintain safety and quality standards, preventing works from halting.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mechanical engineering, materials, or welding qualifications, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
  • Broad knowledge of the engineering construction industry, materials, trades methods, and legal requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills (knowledge of French is an advantage).
  • Proven experience writing accurate and concise diaries relevant to the form of contract.
  • Proven track record of working within a large construction team.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of British and European standards, including RCC‐M, BS EN, and ASME.
