Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis, design and construction preparation for civil and structural works on nuclear and energy projects
- Contribute across the full project lifecycle from bids to construction delivery
- Apply systems engineering principles and support requirements capture
- Prepare safety case inputs including SFRs, SDMSs and DSRs
- Produce calculations, finite element models, technical reports and design documentation
- Support compliance with nuclear safety standards and CDM requirements
- Participate in site surveys, inspections and technical investigations
- Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and design optimisation
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience or awareness of nuclear or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of civil and structural design standards and best practice
- Experience with finite element modelling and validation techniques
- Understanding of health and safety legislation
- Familiarity with BIM-enabled design environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, organised and committed to continuous professional development
