We are recruiting for Project Engineer to join our clients Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Sizewell B.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications.
- Manage technical queries in accordance with relevant processes and procedures.
- Support the process of contractor selection and contract placement.
- Conduct technical reviews of contractor documents and drawings and perform technical appraisals of project options.
- Carry out feasibility studies, site surveys, and collaborate with designers and station engineering staff as required.
- Prepare Engineering Changes and manage the preparation of supporting and affected documents.
- Develop commissioning documents and act as test team leader where appropriate.
- Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in overseeing the project, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and effectively through to completion.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum HND technical discipline or equivalent.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
- Formal project management qualification and familiarity with modern project management techniques preferred but not essential.
- Experience in identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards, company procedures, policies, and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering construction projects under CDM (Construction (Design and Management) regulations).
- Ideally, experience in managing and delivering electrical power systems design and installation projects, or electrical supply and distribution systems.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience of working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred but not essential.
