The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Installing and maintaining HV equipment and switchgear, including AIS and GIS systems up to 132kV.

Working on power transformers, protection panels, battery chargers, SCADA/telecontrol panels, and more.

Interpreting technical drawings, setting out installation work, and ensuring all activities comply with design specs and safety standards.

Collaborating with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure efficient, safe delivery of work.

Skills and experience:

  • DNO industry experience in the UK.
  • A proven track record in the construction, repair, and operation of HV equipment up to 132kV.
  • An NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work.
  • A sound knowledge of HV and LV systems and experience working as an Electrician (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with a range of switchgear, protection types, and installation/maintenance procedures.
  • Competency using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • A flexible approach to completing standby and out-of-hours work.
  • A full UK driving licence - travel is essential in this role.
