Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Adviser (People Development & Engagement) to join their growing organisation during an exciting period of development. This is a varied and influential role that will suit an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, driving people initiatives, and making a tangible impact across the business.

You will provide expert HR support, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and lead key people-focused projects that support business growth and employee engagement.

Work Style: Office-based 5 days. This role requires a strong on-site presence to build relationships, support managers, and lead key people initiatives across the business.

  • Drive Manager Engagement: Partner with managers across all departments to strengthen people management practices.
  • Support and monitor the completion of one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and appraisal processes.
  • Provide practical HR guidance and coaching to managers.
  • Bring structure, accountability, and consistency to performance management activities.

Own the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy: Develop and coordinate CSR initiatives that align with company values and business objectives.

  • Identify and build relationships with local community projects, charities, and funding schemes.
  • Act as the driving force behind the organisation's community engagement activities.
  • Promote positive social impact while strengthening the company's local reputation and presence.

Strengthen the Apprenticeship Programme: Increase awareness and engagement with apprenticeship opportunities across the business.

  • Develop robust processes and frameworks to support apprentices, managers, and training providers.
  • Ensure the programme becomes a key talent pipeline supporting future business growth.
  • Champion career development and early talent initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and talent development activities.
  • Assist with performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with current employment legislation.
  • Support organisational change and business improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with managers to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

About You: We are looking for an HR professional who combines strong technical HR knowledge with excellent relationship-building skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an HR Adviser, Senior HR Administrator, or HR Business Partner support role.
  • Strong generalist HR background with experience across employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and effectively challenge and support managers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident, proactive, and able to work successfully under pressure.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • CIPD Level 5 minimum qualification.
