Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation, quality plans and technical specifications
  • Manage technical queries in line with project procedures and compliance standards
  • Support contractor selection, tender evaluation and contract placement
  • Review contractor drawings and technical documentation
  • Conduct technical appraisals and feasibility studies for project solutions
  • Carry out site surveys and liaise with station engineering teams and designers
  • Prepare and manage engineering changes and associated documentation
  • Support commissioning activities and act as Test Team Leader where required
  • Assist Project and Construction Managers to deliver projects safely and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards throughout delivery

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer status or HND qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience within highly regulated industries with strong safety standards
  • Knowledge of construction project delivery under CDM regulations
  • SMSTS qualification preferred
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation and technical reviews
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience managing engineering changes and commissioning activities
  • Formal project management qualifications beneficial but not essential
  • Nuclear or power station experience advantageous
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving
