As a Tax Transformation and Technology Director with a financial services focus at PwC, you will play a critical role in leading the advancement and innovation of tax technology solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients in the financial services sector. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and the ability to lead and develop a team of specialists working within the financial services tax market team.
What your days will look like:
- You will work with clients to understand their tax transformation needs and provide innovative technology-driven solutions.
- You will lead the implementation of tax technology solutions tailored to the financial services industry overseeing large-scale tax transformation projects from inception through to delivery.
- Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals covering both technology and advisory services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Track emerging technologies and industry trends to anticipate and address future client needs and develop and deliver thought leadership and market-facing materials.
This role is for you if:
- You have extensive experience in tax technology and transformation within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate would have a combination of in-house and experience in practice, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm.
- You have in-depth knowledge of tax processes, and tax technology solutions (e.g., tax engines, compliance software, data analytics tools).
- You have a proven track record of managing large-scale tax transformation projects, including experience with project management methodologies and tools as well as experience in leading and mentoring a team of professionals.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
