As a Resource Demand Manager, you will partner with Operate sales and account management teams to understand the pipeline of work and the skills required to fulfill it. You will collaborate with Operational Delivery teams to provide scenario planning to the business around how to deliver the pipeline of work, whilst considering all elements of the engagement architecture, and ensure a commercially and operationally effective delivery team. You will have the opportunity to network with other resourcing managers to identify opportunities and act as the demand lead for your area, while working with the wider team to provide supply options across various channels.

This demanding role is ideal for an experienced resource manager who wants to showcase their agility and further develop their stakeholder management and commercial skills.

What your day will look like:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business need, in order to deliver against Firmwide, Operate and Resource Management strategies: always balancing the needs of business and the individual.

  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Resource Management team to ensure they have visibility of demand and ensure capacity forecasts are updated accurately with projected demand. Additionally, you will provide strategic workforce planning advice to Leadership, focusing on maximising margin delivery.

  • Track the sales pipeline and in conjunction with Service Tower leads inform the shape of the permanent workforce, including roll-offs and extensions.

  • Use management information to identify trends and key risks, such as hot and cold skills, and provide strategic insight to support effective decision making.

  • You are a strong team player, adaptable and proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude, working in an agile way to support colleagues and peers.

  • You possess a commercially driven approach to achieving successful outcomes for stakeholders.

  • You have the ability to build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders across the business, as well as with parallel operational teams such as Human Capita (HC), Recruitment, L&D, and Finance.

  • You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication for stakeholder engagement and follow-ups.

  • You have the ability to handle complex data and explore the use of new technology to derive actionable insights and drive decision making.

  • You possess networking skills, engaging with SME groups and broader team initiatives for collaboration and exposure both across Operate and across Line of Service (LoS).
