About the role: Our Customer Led Transformation (CLT) team within Government & Public Services (GPS) helps public bodies design and deliver modern, citizen-focused digital services. We work with central and local government departments to transform customer experience, drive efficiency, and improve public outcomes through data‑driven and technology‑enabled solutions. As a G&PS Sales Exec for CLT, you will be at the forefront of origination and business growth, focusing on identifying, shaping, and winning major transformation opportunities. You will lead responses to public tenders and competitive procurements, leveraging your knowledge of UK Government and Local Authority procurement frameworks (e.g., CCS, G‑Cloud, DOS, and DPS). This role is ideal for a commercially minded, relationship‑driven sales leader who thrives on generating new business, navigating complex procurement landscapes, and converting opportunities into impactful programmes.

What your days will look like:

  • Origination & Growth: Lead business development across the GPS sector, driving revenue growth aligned to PwC’s CLT priorities. Identify and qualify new opportunities through proactive market engagement, client networking, and alliance collaboration. Drive pipeline creation through targeted campaigns, thought leadership, and account planning.
  • Client Development: Build and expand senior-level relationships within central and local government, health, and wider public sector bodies. Partner with PwC leadership to shape long-term account growth strategies and joint pursuit plans. Act as the primary contact for key sales opportunities and client negotiations.
  • Alliance & Market Collaboration: Work with PwC’s strategic alliances (e.g., Salesforce) to co‑create and sell joint solutions. Align pursuits with alliance GTM strategies and ensure opportunity registration, co‑funding, and governance compliance. Leverage partner relationships to access new clients and drive joint pipeline growth.
  • Commercial Leadership: Take ownership of sales performance, including pipeline value, conversion rate, and revenue delivery. Ensure all pursuits meet commercial, pricing, and risk management standards. Support leadership in quarterly business planning, sales forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Coach and mentor pursuit and business development teams to enhance sales effectiveness. Embed best practices in opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy, and client engagement. Contribute to a high‑energy, growth‑oriented sales culture across the CLT and GPS teams.

This role is for you if you have:

  • Must possess certification in key sales qualifications, such as CSP (NASP), CSSE (GSSI) and the Advanced Certificate in Sales Leadership (CIM) (or an international equivalent).
  • Ideally holds Salesforce Sales Representative or AWS Partner Accreditation.
  • Proven record of sales origination and closing deals within consulting, technology, or public‑sector environments.
  • Strong, established network across UK Government and Public Services, enabling effective market engagement.
  • Skilled in relationship‑led selling, opportunity shaping, executive‑level engagement, and commercial negotiation across public‑sector frameworks.
  • Experience in alliance‑based selling, with understanding of citizen experience, CRM/customer transformation, and digital/data‑enabled public‑service transformation.
  • SC/DV eligibility preferred.

What you’ll receive from us: No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
