The Risk Assurance Services (RAS) team at PwC takes pride in helping clients to identify, measure and manage their risk profile more effectively. Our specialists offer knowledge and expertise, which extends to clients’ internal controls, internal audit, technology risk, cyber security, non-financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Our Data Assurance specialists focus on providing data analytics and information risk management assurance services supporting external financial statement audit engagements.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing project delivery teams and ownership of delivery timelines for both digital audit, data assurance and technology consulting engagements.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of audit and advisory standards for the appropriate application and use of technology.
- Acting as a technical subject matter expert (SME) to ensure the appropriate design and delivery of data analytic solutions to meet audit or consulting engagement requirements.
- Using data analysis techniques to support the assessment of the design, implementations and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls, application controls and related dependencies including the testing of key reports and interfaces.
- Fostering the adoption and use of technology in alignment with business rules within the Risk Assurance team, including the adoption and use of AI.
- Supporting strategic business initiatives including our rollout of agentic AI capabilities and advanced data acquisition techniques.
- Overall responsibility for client project deliverables and creation of proposal documents.
- Working with a range of clients where you will deliver a tailored service to meet their requirements.
- Completing a diverse range of assignments whilst managing project teams, whilst working collaboratively with clients and other PwC network firms.
- Coaching and supporting the development of junior team members.
- Ensuring the team and your assigned projects are in compliance with PwC policy requirements.
- Maintaining a leading-edge knowledge of new and current technologies.
- Work closely with leadership to support the growth of our Risk Assurance proposition.
- Building and developing relationships with our target clients.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Strong academic background such as a Bachelor or Master's Degree in a subject related to Accounting, Information Technology or Business Studies.
- Professional qualification(s) in relevant fields such as a formal accounting or data science qualification.
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, or Agile) desirable.
- Technology risk certification ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, ISO22301, CBCI, ISO27001 LA, ISO22301 LA desirable.
- Internal Audit Certification (CIA) desirable.
Essential skills:
- Experience managing internal or external audit and assurance engagements as a data assurance specialist.
- Excellent project management skills including great organisation, highly motivated work ethic, the ability to drive projects forward, managing own and others time; and hold more senior team members accountable to delivering high-quality pieces of work.
- Strong team working skills and experienced in developing junior staff.
- Well-developed listening and questioning techniques.
- Strong desire for personal continuous improvement.

- Excellent verbal skills and report writing capability.

Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and familiarity with the local Channel Islands market.
- Experience in providing specialist support to external FS audit teams.
- Data and analytics experience with competency with tools including Alteryx, SQL, Python, PowerBI and Power Platform.
- Cyber Security / Privacy engagement experience, with a relevant supporting qualification (e.g. CISM, CISSP, GIAC).
- Artificial Intelligence tooling experience and familiarity with using agentic technology to support procedures including Claude and ChatGPT.
- Technology Risk engagement experience.
- Experience Performing internal audit engagements.
Travel Requirements: Limited travel will be required in this role.
