About the role
As a M&A Deals Consultant, you will work with leading corporate clients and investors, helping and supporting them tackle their toughest decisions. Your engagements will include a mix of corporate strategy (growth strategy, market entry, pricing, commercial excellence, product strategy) and transaction-related work (commercial due diligence and pre‑ and post‑deal value creation). Your work will be varied, fast paced – no engagement is ever the same.
Strategy & TMT
In our Deals team, you’ll be joining a market‑leading and fast‑growing team that works with businesses, private equity and venture capital investors, supporting them across the Deal cycle, from pre‑deal to post‑deal value creation. Technology application, infrastructure software, IT services, cybersecurity and tech‑enabled businesses. Media – marketing services, Mar‑Tech, online marketplaces, content publishers, TV/OTT, and B2B media (info/events). Telecoms – fibre, towers, data centres, B2B telecoms and broader telecoms players.
What your days will look like:
- Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work.
- An ability to multitask effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support.
- Supporting and coaching junior team members.
This role is for you if:
- You’ll have a very structured approach to problem solving and exceptional analytical skills.
- Strong client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions.
- Significant experience from either a strategy consulting firm with experience in conducting and managing Commercial Due Diligence/Vendor Due Diligence.
- Experience in running projects on a day‑to‑day basis, structuring and managing the work streams and supervising delivery.
- Managerial experience of strategic commercial consulting or business development from within a large corporate Technology, Media, or Telecoms business.
- Experience within Private Equity (investment or operational role).
- As a Senior Manager you will be confident in taking total ownership of client engagements and projects as well as supporting the wider practice improvement initiatives.
- You’ll look at the wider business development opportunities, team growth and practice development.
