We work with government departments and agencies, local and devolved government, housing associations and charities to understand their unique issues and opportunities in an ever-changing environment. As part of our growth plans, we are looking to recruit a Strategy Senior Manager to work across our public sector clients, particularly in local and devolved government. As a Senior Manager, you'll lead a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex issues using a range of strategy skills and methodologies.
What your days will look like:
- Reporting to the Partner and Director team, you will have responsibility for managing client projects, structuring the work schedule and driving each assignment to a successful conclusion. This will include commercial management and quality oversight.
- Producing clear, persuasive and concise documents for senior audiences.
- Building productive and lasting client relationships at all levels.
- Directing analysis, assessing the depth required on each assignment, translating the analysis into useful findings and quality assuring the results in conjunction with project leadership.
- Planning and managing the delivery of quality work.
- Defining the source and level of data gathering required to solve complex problems in a short timeframe.
- Managing the development of junior team members on projects and identifying opportunities for them to grow and build their skills.
- Building relationships within the PwC Network at all levels and be seen as a valued member of the community, including proactively leading internal, firm-building activities.
This role is for you if you have:
- Experience as a strategy adviser or policy maker with extensive experience working with local and devolved government.
- Experience of developing organisational strategy/policy and supporting senior stakeholders to transform their business.
- Excellent client handling skills with experience of leading projects and/or large-scale strategy and operations change programmes.
- You will be already cleared, or capable of being cleared, up to SC or DV level.
- Ability to focus on one or more of delivering: Strategy development for large, complex organisations, Operational Transformation, Capabilities Development, Strategic Cost Reduction and Digital Disruption.
- Intellectually curious, with the ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead self and others, in particular, experience in leading teams in challenging situations and coaching others to high performance and experience in leading functionally, geographically and culturally diverse teams.
