About the role
You’ll help position PwC’s Law Firm Advisory Group as the pre‑eminent adviser to law firm leaders, solving growth, profitability and transformation challenges. Acting as an extension of the executive teams, you’ll shape strategy and build new AI‑enabled and commercial excellence products that deliver measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi‑workstream engagements for top law firms driving efficiency, cost reduction and stronger business services performance.
- Advise Managing Partners, Boards, CFOs/COOs and functional directors; turn ambiguous problems into practical, data‑led solutions.
- Build and scale propositions and proprietary tools (AI/GenAI, pricing, incentives, finance transformation); publish thought leadership and benchmarking that opens doors.
- Orchestrate multi‑disciplinary PwC teams; uphold quality, independence and risk standards from pitch through engagement close; coach and support our people.
- Win work: originate and own pursuits and proposals; strengthen existing relationships and create new ones across the sector.
- Grow the practice: coordinate internal operations and knowledge sharing; design and host client events and roundtables; be the face of our community activities; support Partners and Directors on ad hoc priorities.
- Leading flagship engagements to a high standard, with clear client outcomes and strong sponsor feedback.
- Publishing a distinctive point of view and convening senior clients through a roundtable or similar forum.
- Supporting the growth of a healthy forward pipeline and deepening trusted relationships in the market.
- Lifting junior team capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and high‑quality deliverables.
Skills and Experience we are looking for
- Senior consulting experience (Senior Manager or equivalent) and meaningful in‑house experience within a law firm or professional services (or equivalent project experience).
- Deep understanding of law firm economics, partner models, pricing, BD, operations and sector‑specific challenges.
- Proven delivery of transformation, performance improvement or shared services programmes in complex, partnership‑led environments.
- Executive‑level stakeholder management and communication; credible with senior leaders and calm under pressure.
- Highly numerate; confident with diagnostics, modelling and commercial cases.
- Product mindset: you create IP, diagnostics and data/AI‑enabled solutions and can coordinate cross‑firm initiatives (events, thought leadership, internal operations).
- Inclusive leadership: you mentor juniors, listen for feedback, connect into talent networks and foster collaboration and team culture.
