We are recruiting for a Director focused on GBS – the delivery of GBS Transformation programmes, development of our GBS Agentic capabilities and pursuit of GBS business development opportunities. You will have a breadth of experience in a number of the following areas: GBS Strategy, GBS Operating Model, GBS Service Delivery Model, Shared Services, Outsourcing, GBS Processes and Policies, GBS Technology, experience of working with a wide range of people in a commercial environment and a working knowledge of a wide range of GBS issues and trends.
What your days will look like:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a diverse portfolio of Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Service Centre (SSC) client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to Managing Directors and Partners and directly influencing engagement outcomes and firm growth.
- Lead the design, assessment, and optimisation of GBS operating models across corporate and public sector clients, and functions such as HR, Finance, Procurement, IT and beyond, focusing on service delivery models and governance frameworks.
- Oversee and sponsor complex, large‑scale end‑to‑end GBS transformation programmes, ensuring alignment of process redesign, organisation structure, technology enablement, and vendor ecosystems to deliver sustainable client value and competitive advantage.
- Own the financial management of GBS client programmes, driving budget planning, cost optimisation, and value realisation.
- Architect and execute high‑impact strategies to solve complex operational and technological challenges in GBS, partnering closely with C‑suite and senior client leaders to communicate compelling business cases and drive enterprise‑wide transformation.
- Forge and sustain executive‑level partnerships with programme directors, GBS leaders, and C‑suite stakeholders to co‑create robust business cases, comprehensive assessments, and deliver option modelling informing critical strategic decisions that deliver meaningful change.
- Lead targeted business development efforts by identifying and cultivating new GBS growth opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and actively contributing to PwC’s revenue expansion and market leadership within current and prospective clients.
- Champion collaboration across PwC’s ecosystem, including Agentic partners and internal teams, to co‑develop and deploy cutting‑edge Agentic and automation solutions that significantly enhance GBS service delivery and unlock new client value streams.
- Partner strategically with PwC’s risk, legal, and compliance functions to uphold rigorous standards in contracting and delivery of GBS programmes, proactively managing risk and ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
- Inspire, develop, and lead high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams across GBS domains, fostering a culture of excellence, risk awareness, and strict adherence to PwC’s global methodologies and quality standards.
This role is for you if:
- Established GBS leader with a track record of success at Director level or equivalent, possessing deep consulting expertise delivering enterprise‑wide GBS and Shared Services transformations across diverse industries, including corporate and government sectors.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multinational client engagements and diverse teams in the execution of operational and technology‑enabled GBS solutions spanning process redesign, organisational transitions, and ongoing optimisation.
- Recognised subject matter expert in GBS strategy formulation, operating model innovation, outsourcing advisory, business case development, option modelling, and guiding large‑scale deployments of Agentic and automation technologies.
- Demonstrated success partnering at the executive level with programme directors, GBS leadership, and C‑suite sponsors to translate technical solutions into business value, govern budgets, mitigate risks, and lead through complex organisational dynamics.
- Thought leader passionate about leveraging emerging digital technologies, AI, and automation to drive transformative improvements in GBS capabilities and sustainably enhance client outcomes.
- Commercially savvy professional with robust financial acumen, risk management proficiency, compliance discipline, and contract governance expertise within large‑scale, complex GBS programmes.
