We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Test & Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex Guidewire programmes across the insurance lifecycle. This role combines end‑to‑end testing leadership with broader delivery oversight, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third‑party vendors to ensure high‑quality, predictable outcomes. You will be responsible for defining and executing the testing strategy while also contributing to overall programme delivery, governance, and risk management across Guidewire implementations.
What your days will look like:
- Testing Leadership: Own and drive the end‑to‑end testing strategy across Guidewire implementations, including functional, integration, UAT, non‑functional, and regression testing. Lead test planning, design, execution, defect management, and reporting across multiple delivery phases. Ensure alignment of testing activities with programme milestones, delivery plans, and release schedules. Establish and maintain quality standards, test governance, and entry/exit criteria. Oversee test environments, data readiness, and defect triage with delivery and technical leads. Manage onshore and offshore testing teams, including test leads, manual testers, and automation resources.
- Delivery & Programme Oversight: Act as a senior delivery lead within the Guidewire programme, supporting predictable and high‑quality outcomes. Work closely with programme, product, and technical leads to identify delivery risks early and define mitigation strategies. Contribute to delivery planning, dependency management, and cross‑workstream coordination. Provide clear, confidence‑building status reporting to senior stakeholders and leadership. Support mobilisation, go‑live readiness, and post‑deployment stabilisation activities.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Engage with business stakeholders to ensure testing and delivery priorities align with business outcomes. Act as a key interface with Guidewire and other vendors, ensuring responsibilities and support boundaries are clearly defined. Build trusted relationships with client teams through clarity, transparency, and delivery judgement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in testing processes, tooling, automation coverage, and delivery ways of working. Embed a quality‑led mindset across the broader delivery team. Support coaching and development of testing and delivery team members.
This role is for you if:
- You have strong experience leading testing and quality assurance on large‑scale Guidewire implementations.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Experience delivering complex insurance transformations in Personal, Commercial, or Specialty Lines with a proven ability to manage end‑to‑end testing lifecycle within agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
- Experience working with onshore and offshore teams, including third‑party vendors.
- Strong understanding of delivery risk, governance, and quality management within large programmes contributing to excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Desired Guidewire cloud (SaaS) implementation experience.
- Desired Test automation experience and familiarity with Guidewire test frameworks.
- Desired Non‑functional testing leadership (performance, resilience, security).
- Desired Experience supporting mobilisation, go‑live, and service readiness.
