About this role

Our Reward & Employment team, part of Pw C's fast-growing People & Organisation practice, is looking for a Senior Manager to support clients across the employment tax spectrum.

You'll advise a wide range of national and global organisations on employment-related governance, risks and opportunities, helping them meet obligations while identifying practical improvements.

This role brings together technical employment tax advice, client relationship management and project delivery across PAYE, NIC, benefits, reporting, compliance, HMRC engagement, CIS, pay governance and legislative change, including IR35.

You'll join a collaborative team focused on high-quality advice and commercially relevant solutions.

What your days will look like

  • Advise clients on PAYE and NIC matters, including payroll, expenses and benefits, year-end reporting such as PSA, Form 42 and P11Ds, and the tax or NIC treatment of non-cash remuneration.
  • Support clients with HMRC investigations, compliance projects and large assignments where HMRC requirements must be met, liaising with tax authorities and helping clients manage enquiries effectively.
  • Develop expenses and benefits policies and procedures, undertake due diligence to identify material unpaid tax or NIC exposures affecting transactions such as acquisitions or mergers, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Consult on CIS, National Minimum and Living Wage regulations, holiday pay and wider pay governance, ensuring clients understand new legislation and its impact, including requirements arising from IR35.
  • This role is for you if
  • You have good knowledge of employment-based tax legislation and want to maintain or enhance your expertise across employment taxes and broader governance issues.
  • You already have, or are keen to gain, knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme and varied aspects of pay governance.
  • You are CTA/ACA qualified or hold an international equivalent.
  • You enjoy working with wider teams to deliver client assignments and can contribute collaboratively across specialist Reward and Employment projects.
  • You are willing to work as part of a team and are dedicated to delivering high-quality client service.
  • You are agile and willing to develop your experience and knowledge across broader areas of Reward and Employment.
  • What you'll receive from us

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
