About the role
A career in our Crisis and Resilience team will provide the opportunity to help our clients to:
- Implement effective crisis management and operational resilience programmes that prepare them to face disruption and continue delivering critical services
- Respond effectively when incidents and crises strike (cyber and non-cyber)
- Understand what happened after an event and drive sustainable remediation and control improvements
- Strengthen enterprise risk management (ERM) capabilities, improving risk governance, reporting and decision-making
What your days will look like
As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
In this role, you can expect to perform a combination of the following client work:
- Support delivery of crisis management, cyber response, business continuity, operational resilience and ERM engagements. Contribute across the incident lifecycle, including planning, response, exercises and post-incident reviews
- Facilitate client workshops, interviews and scenario testing, translating outputs into actionable improvements. Develop and enhance client documentation (e.g. playbooks, plans, reports, governance materials and Board packs)
- Support resilience and risk assessments, including mapping critical services, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and defining KPIs/KRIs and risk appetite. Contribute to the design and implementation of resilience and risk frameworks, including governance, policies and operating models
- Collaborate across teams and provide subject matter input into wider cyber, resilience and risk engagements. Support the use and configuration of resilience and incident management tooling/platforms (e.g. BCM tools, incident tracking, dashboards). Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, relationship building and creation of tools/thought leadership
This role is for you if
- Some experience in one or more of: crisis management, business continuity, operational resilience, risk management (ERM), or related consulting/audit work
- Strong academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. emergency planning, disaster management, IT/security, risk management, business, or similar)
- Excellent business writing skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with confidence engaging stakeholders through interviews and workshops. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Excellent project management skills: highly organised, motivated, able to drive work forward, manage your own and others’ time, and support senior team members to deliver high-quality outputs
- An understanding of basic IT infrastructure and technology dependency concepts.
- Knowledge of common cyber security threats and incident types
