PwC is continuing to scale its Responsible AI capability in the UK as demand grows for trusted, ethical and well-governed AI across sectors. As a Senior Associate in the Responsible AI team, you will support client engagements that help organisations design, build and deploy AI responsibly. You will work at the intersection of emerging technology, risk management and regulation, helping clients operationalise AI governance, implement practical controls and embed responsible AI practices across the AI lifecycle, including Gen AI and Agentic AI.

What your days will look like:
- Support Responsible AI client engagements, helping clients develop governance approaches, operating models, AI testing framework, AI policies and controls for AI.
- Assist with AI risk assessments, including reviewing use cases, documentation and development practices to identify potential gaps around governance, fairness, transparency, privacy, security, monitoring and human oversight.
- Help translate Responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations and PwC methodology into clear, practical guidance for clients.
- Prepare key engagement artefacts such as AI risk assessments, governance documentation, control records, model testing summaries and evidence packs for assurance or audit.
- Work with data science, engineering, cyber and risk colleagues to support the design of appropriate controls, guardrails, monitoring processes and escalation routes for AI systems, including Gen AI and Agentic AI.
- Contribute to model and AI system evaluations, including areas such as explainability, robustness, fairness, oversight and ongoing monitoring.
- Support client workshops, meetings and working sessions by preparing materials, capturing outputs and helping translate complex AI risk topics into clear actions.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the Responsible AI capability, including internal knowledge‑sharing, team materials, propositions and methodology development.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in RAI, as input into client workshops, including areas such as technical testing, red teaming, sustainable AI architecture, AI cost optimisation.
This role is for you if:
- You are currently working at PwC in an AI consulting, technology, risk, data, assurance or transformation‑related role and are interested in developing specialist expertise in Responsible AI.
- Have experience supporting AI governance, model risk, data governance, compliance, sustainability, assurance, or technology risk, ideally with exposure to Responsible AI concepts (fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, safety).
- GenAI and Agentic AI exposure: Familiarity with GenAI/LLM/Agentic AI architecture, including risks and mitigations (e.g., guardrails, prompt/design controls, monitoring, human‑in‑the‑loop) is preferred.
- Regulatory and standards awareness: Working knowledge of relevant regulation and frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act trajectory, GDPR, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001).
- Analytical problem solving: Comfortable working with technical topics and evidence (model documentation/testing, controls, monitoring), with strong structured thinking and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical issues into clear business implications and recommendations.
