Job Summary:

Value Financials is an electronic template service to streamline financial statement creation for corporate and managed service providers.

We seek a Developer to design, build, and maintain automation layers, primarily using Python, to enable clients to generate, transform, and distribute financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Develop Python scripts and frameworks for data ETL processes.
  • Operations: Support onboarding and client success as part of the DevOps team.
  • User Experience: Ensure high-quality process design.
  • Template Management: Collaborate on electronic template updates.
  • Integration: Maintain integrations with finance systems and APIs.
  • Quality & Testing: Write tests and establish CI pipelines.
  • Documentation: Produce technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Mentorship: Lead and coach junior developers.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • PCAP or higher in Python programming.

Skills & Experience:

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years Python experience, including core libraries and best practices.
  • Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI standard.
  • Experience with pytest, Docker, CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficient with Git workflows.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAPs.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with relational databases and data formats.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel, including between Channel Islands and UK (6-12 times/year).
