About the role

PwC is an independent member of the PwC international network of firms. Based in London and Manchester, we have 29 partners/directors and employ over 350 legal fee-earners. As well as project-based, specialist legal advice, we offer our clients ongoing general counsel support. We have access to legal expertise in over 85 countries. The Corporate practice is one of PwC Legal's largest practice groups. The Corporate team focuses on corporate and business structuring projects ranging from significant multi-territory reorganisation projects to smaller intra-group reorganisations, as well as M&A and private equity work. The team also has specialisms in advising on LLPs and LLP conversions and European company law (cross-border / domestic mergers). Our clients include numerous household name MNCs and listed groups as well privately owned companies and inbound groups.

Our structuring practice focuses on clients ranging from MNCs and listed groups, for whom the work is very much cross-border in nature and often done with other legal teams in the PwC international network, to smaller privately owned companies and our M&A practice tends to focus on privately owned companies, inbound groups and mid-tier PE houses. Our teams often work with tax, corporate finance, deals, advisory and other professionals from within PwC LLP to deliver a joined up service to our clients.

We are looking for experienced lawyers with a general corporate law and transactional background to join this busy, friendly team at Senior Associate to Manager level, and help support the continued expansion of the team in the regions.

  • Handle technically challenging projects for high-profile clients.
  • Participate in the growth and development of the Corporate practice.
  • Embrace diverse corporate work and avoid repetitive deals.

  • Assist in a variety of tasks for a diverse range of clients, including secondments to high-profile clients.
  • Demonstrate high technical competence and knowledge of corporate transactional work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and PwC professionals.
  • Manage certain matters under the supervision of Corporate partners.
  • Collaborate closely with other fee earners in the team.

  • Primarily a team player but also able to work under own initiative.
  • Clear, articulate and confident in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to get involved in business development and networking activities.
