About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Director to lead Enterprise Strategy and Transformation initiatives, with a primary focus on transport and infrastructure clients. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced professional who can drive complex business change, shape transformation strategies, and deliver measurable impact across large-scale programs. While transport is the core sector, we value candidates with experience that can extend to Defence and Central Government, supporting our broader client portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Transformation: Help clients articulate the need for change and define transformation scope, logic, and mandate. Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) across all enterprise layers: People, Organisation, Process, Information, Technology. Drive cultural and behavioural change for sustainable adoption.
- Deliver Impactful Programs: Oversee end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives, ensuring real, measurable outcomes. Flex delivery approaches to meet client needs and maximise value.
- Business Development: Initiate, develop, and close transformation opportunities with Transport and adjacent sector clients. Engage senior stakeholders (CIO, COO, Heads of Unit) to shape consulting propositions.
- Service Expertise: Sell and deliver services in: Enterprise Strategy Development, Operating Model Design & Implementation, Change Management, Technology-enabled Transformation.
Skills and Experience we are looking for
- Proven experience in enterprise-level transformation, ideally within transport and transferable to Defence and Government.
- Experience of leading client interactions, particularly the sales (as well as the delivery) of technology-enabled transformation programmes involving multi-disciplinary teams and recognised as a technology transformation services leader.
- Extensive emerging technology knowledge and implementation of how to drive a business value case, in areas such as Cloud, AI, RPA, and industry recognised standard applications like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday.
- Expertise in various technology services such as IT strategy development, transformational business case development, Business and IT operating model design and implementation, IT function transformation, IT service management design and implementation, IT sourcing and complex procurement, cloud transformation, cyber, complex IT programme delivery.
- Good understanding of all layers of the technology stack (e.g., Data, applications, infrastructure) and how solutions in these areas can deliver value to clients.
- Ability to build effective relationships with third-party delivery organisations required to deliver complex transformation programmes.
