About the Role: We are building one of the most innovative and transport‑focused consulting capabilities in the market. Our work centres on helping public and private transport organisations design and deliver large‑scale transformation from rethinking operating models to modernising services, improving passenger outcomes and enabling more efficient, resilient and digitally‑enabled transport systems. The UK transport sector is undergoing once‑in‑a‑generation change: rail reform and devolution, major capital investment, asset modernisation, digital signalling, intelligent mobility, automation, data‑led decision making and workforce transformation. Our team supports clients across rail, bus, highways, aviation and emerging mobility to navigate this complexity and deliver meaningful, lasting change. We are a collaborative, diverse and growing team with deep expertise in Transport and Government.
As a Manager, you’ll lead client engagements, bring strong sector knowledge, and work with multidisciplinary teams to shape and deliver end‑to‑end transformation programmes that make a difference to passengers, freight operators, places and the wider economy.
What your days will look like:
- Managing the design and delivery of transport‑focused, technology‑enabled transformation programmes — such as operating model redesign, service improvement, digital transformation, programme mobilisation and performance uplift.
- Developing insight into client needs across rail, bus, highways, aviation or wider transport, and supporting the growth of our Transport Enterprise Transformation market.
- Helping to evolve our tools, methods and assets specifically for transport transformation, drawing on best practice across operating model, change, programme delivery and digital adoption.
- Leading engagement economics, risk and issue management, and ensuring high‑quality programme and project delivery.
- Building trusted relationships with senior transport stakeholders and expanding your network across the industry.
This role is for you if:
- You have hands‑on experience scoping and delivering transformation programmes within the Transport sector — e.g., rail reform, network or timetable change, depot/operations redesign, customer experience improvements, asset management transformation, or digital transport initiatives.
- You have experience in operating model design and implementation, transformation programme management, change and adoption, or transformation communications in a transport setting.
- You can interpret transport clients’ strategic, operational and regulatory drivers for change, building trust with stakeholders across complex, multi‑agency transport environments.
- You understand the transformation opportunities and constraints unique to transport — such as safety, performance regimes, operational readiness, franchise/contracting structures, customer outcomes and multi‑modal integration.
- You are comfortable developing requirements across process, people, organisation, technology and data to support transport transformation.
- You can articulate the tangible benefits of digital and cloud technologies in the transport domain (e.g., predictive maintenance, control systems, passenger experience tools, planning and optimisation technologies).
- You have a successful track record of leadership in transport — either from consulting or from directly within the sector.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
