Join our Capital Markets Accounting Advisory & Structuring team to advise clients on the accounting, company law and capital markets issues. As a Capital Markets Accounting Advisory & Structuring (CMAS) Director, you will be a senior leader responsible for driving some of the most complex and high-profile engagements in the market. You will bring deep technical expertise—including US GAAP and US capital markets knowledge—to lead large and strategically important projects, shape client solutions, and take a central role in developing the CMAS business.
Directors operate as senior technical experts and business builders. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, build strong board-level relationships, and play an influential role in both the strategic direction of engagements and the development of the CMAS practice. You will also act as a trusted advisor to CFOs, audit committees and senior investment banking stakeholders.
This role is for you if:
- You hold an ACA or CPA (or international equivalent).
- Deep technical expertise in US GAAP, including experience preparing or reviewing US GAAP financial statements and resolving complex US GAAP issues.
- Significant experience advising on US capital markets transactions, including SEC filings (e.g., S-1, F-1, 10-K/10-Q), 144A/Reg S issuances, and/or dual-track listings.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Proven ability to manage C-suite & Board-level relationships, with demonstrated leadership in delivering complex accounting, structuring or capital markets engagements.
- Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to shape solutions, design propositions and drive business growth, with experience reviewing and signing off technical client deliverables.
What your days will look like:
- Leading the delivery of complex, multi-jurisdictional assignments across accounting, structuring and capital markets advisory & acting as a senior technical expert on US GAAP, SEC reporting, PCAOB requirements, and US capital markets regulations, including leading advice on US-related transactions.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Group Controllers and senior executive teams.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the CMAS practice.
- Leading & developing teams, and building capability within the team on emerging technical, regulatory and capital markets developments; as well as coordinating with cross-firm global teams.
