About the role
PwC is aiming to recruit a market leading Technology Director that focuses on the Home Affairs and Justice market. The candidate should have relevant experience selling to and working with clients within the Home Office, Policing, Justice and related bodies. PwC’s focus is to help clients with complex business transformation. There is a recognition that most if not all of these transformations are underpinned by complex technology change. The Technology Director will be instrumental in architecting and winning work with a continued hand in delivery. PwC currently provides transformation services to a variety of government clients. Demand for these services is growing as organisations look to transform their businesses, and align their future ICT and digital capabilities to the changing needs.
The candidate should have contacts within, and experience of operating across Home Affairs clients and a track record of driving a pipeline in this area. This should include opening up opportunities and seeing these through the sales cycle and to successful delivery. The candidate will be able to shape and sell programmes that include all types of technology enabled complex transformation, such as digital transformation programmes and the implementation of complex IT systems and cloud based solutions.
What your days will look like:
- Work with partners to make appropriate technology choices to support these opportunities and apply several best of breed technologies to create an overall solution.
- Work with our clients to grow revenue, remove complexity, scale globally, reduce costs and set our clients for success in the digital age.
- Navigating the technology landscape and desired future technology direction within relevant clients.
- You are a trusted adviser, with a track record of advising senior executives (CxO level) and company boards on executing large scale transformation within a broad network of senior stakeholders in public sector organisations.
- Proactively leading the market, developing and closing technology enabled transformation sales opportunities within the UK public sector and particularly within Home Office, Policing, NCA, MoJ, HMCTS and similar bodies.
This role is for you if:
- Have experience of leading client interactions and in particular the sales (as well as the delivery) of these technology enabled transformation programmes involving multi-disciplinary teams and are recognised as a technology transformation services leader, through publications, public speaking, client endorsements, etc.
- Possess extensive emerging technology knowledge and implementation of how to drive a business value case. For example in one or more of the following areas: Current and Emerging Technology: Cloud, AI, RPA; Industry recognised standard applications: SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday as well as industry specific ERP, CRM and Case Management solutions; Transformational Enterprise Architectures: Integration, APIs, Containers etc.; Enterprise cloud and data vendors: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Palantir and have a sound appreciation of the IT market, the key players and what they offer in this sector.
- You have experience in selling propositions in one or more areas of: technology strategy and implementation, digital transformation; cloud based enterprise application implementation; technology enabled business change.
- You are an expert in various technology services such as IT strategy development, transformational business case development, Business and IT operating model design and implementation, IT function transformation, IT development, IT service management design and implementation, IT sourcing and complex procurement, cloud transformation, cyber, complex IT programme delivery.
