The purpose of this role is to serve as a tax technology subject matter expert, leading the development and delivery of market leading tech enabled solutions. Working closely with internal stakeholders and contributing directly to client engagements, you will shape and advance our tax technology strategy. As a leader of both people and technology, you will coach, mentor, and share expertise with the next generation of technologists, fostering capability growth and driving meaningful impact across the firm. You will be joining Tech Catalyst, PwC's newly formed technology and innovation powerhouse at a time of growth.

What your days will look like:

  • You will operate as a generalist across direct taxes, facing off to our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Focus on solving real client problems using technology, with a strong bias toward building and delivering.
  • Coaching and mentoring to peers, leaders and junior staff.
  • Be a champion for Tax Tech and Innovation, and Tech Catalyst generally.
  • Ensuring quality and best practice in tech delivery across on and offshore teams.

This role is for you if:

  • Full stack developer but also comfortable in low-code tools.
  • Knowledge of related tech delivery disciplines such as product and service management.
  • Knowledge of recent global developments in technology for tax and the impact on tax administration requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the types of technology used by the tax department i.e., ERP systems, provisioning tools, tax calculation engines, data analytics and visualisation, and workflow.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • The ability to manage several different work-streams at once.
  • Ability to work with a global mind-set, understanding the cultural differences of working with overseas teams.
