As a Senior Manager in PwC's Global Payroll team, you will lead multi-country payroll operations for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant delivery across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients and in-country payroll teams to strengthen governance, improve processes and enhance service quality. The role also involves driving technology transformation, supporting automation and embedding best practice across payroll operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll leader with strong stakeholder management skills, a deep understanding of global compliance and a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence and client service.

What your days will look like:

  • Lead and support a team delivering accurate, timely payroll across multiple countries and clients, working closely with PwC in-country payroll teams.
  • Partner with local PwC teams and the Mauritius technology team to improve payroll processes, reduce risk, and drive transformation through automation, system enhancements, and standardisation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and local teams, ensuring service levels are met, communication remains efficient, and escalations are handled professionally.
  • Strengthen payroll governance, compliance, and internal controls while mentoring a high‑performing team, promoting continuous improvement, best practice, and excellent client satisfaction.

This role is for you:

  • Extensive experience in global payroll, ideally within a large multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions and complex payroll operations.
  • Skilled in payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, SAP, and other global payroll platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and in-country payroll providers effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, project management, and problem‑solving skills, with transformation and automation experience.
  • Excellent communication, discretion, multitasking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams, inspire others, and deliver accurate payroll in fast‑paced environments.
