The Enterprise Transformation team sits within Consulting and focuses on operating model design and large-scale transformation for technology and media clients in the TMT sector. We are seeking motivated individuals to deliver complex transformation programmes, combining hands-on delivery, stakeholder management, business analysis and programme management. Our work includes target operating model design and implementation, organisational and process redesign, technology-enabled change, cost reduction and governance improvement. We help clients improve performance, simplify ways of working and support growth across functions such as product, engineering, cloud, commercial and customer operations. This is an opportunity to join a growing Tech and Media team working with clients facing rapid change.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead high-profile engagements, shape client recommendations, develop colleagues and support the growth of our operating model capability. This post can be based in London.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- You will work with high-profile technology and media clients in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, using strong analytical and interpersonal skills to help design and implement new ways of working.
- The role involves leading analysis, preparing and presenting reports to senior clients, and collaborating across functions to deliver operating model change and complex transformation programmes.
- You will work with our team to support a range of assignments including:
- Driving project delivery, overseeing multiple operating model design and transformation projects simultaneously.
- Leading target operating model design and implementation, including structured business analysis, functional decomposition, delivery model, data model, organisational model, governance and capability design.
- Developing, planning and supporting the delivery of large change projects across technology, media and wider TMT businesses.
- Designing future-state operating models resulting from core platform change, new product launches, mergers and acquisitions, start-up or scale-up activity, cost reduction, outsourcing, globalisation or wider transformation.
- Assessing current organisational structures, processes, roles, capabilities, governance and technology dependencies to identify practical improvement opportunities.
- Supporting organisational assessments, strategy reviews, process re-engineering and technology implementation programmes.
- Applying operating model, programme management and change management methodologies to scope, plan and deliver business change programmes on time and to budget.
- Preparing and presenting clear analysis, reports, SteerCo materials and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
- Managing PMO disciplines across complex programmes, including planning, status reporting, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, SteerCo reporting and benefits tracking.
- Collaborating closely with our clients and working at client site as and when required.
This Role Is For You If
- Demonstrable experience in operating model design, business transformation, programme delivery or large-scale change, gained in consulting ideally within a Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector.
- Strong experience of operating model design and large change projects, preferably within a consulting environment or a technology, media, software, digital platform or related business.
- Excellent track record of target operating model design and implementation, including structured business analysis, functional decomposition, sourcing model design, data model design, organisational model design and high-level technology architecture.
- Experience designing future-state operating models resulting from a range of change catalysts, such as core platform change, new products, mergers and acquisitions, start-up or scale-up activity, cost reduction, outsourcing or globalisation.
- Very strong knowledge of PMO disciplines, including planning, status reporting, SteerCo reporting, risk management, issue management, dependency management and benefits tracking.
- Hands-on experience across a range of project types, including organisational assessments, strategy reviews, process re-engineering, sourcing model design and technology implementations.
- Demonstrable understanding of the challenges facing technology and media businesses, including platform complexity, product and engineering scale, content operations, commercial model change, customer growth, cost pressure and the need for clearer governance.
- You have experience leading complex stakeholder environments and can build credibility with senior client teams across product, engineering, finance, procurement, legal, contracts, technology, commercial, operations and corporate functions.
- You can prepare and present clear, well-structured analysis, reports and presentations to senior client staff using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- You have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong capability in the analysis and presentation of data.
- You have strong commercial awareness, a good understanding of project profitability and budget management, and are comfortable supporting business development activity.
- You have experience managing and guiding the development of less experienced staff, with a desire to develop your line management and mentoring skills.
