Restructuring and Insolvency Senior Associate

PwC UK is hiring within our Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) Team. This fast-growing business unit provides advisory and executory restructuring services to a range of clients and stakeholders, including corporates, banks, funds, sponsors and more.

As part of the largest and most-experienced Restructuring services business in the UK, we are at PwC’s purpose ‘to build trust in society and solve important problems’. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience across both advisory and executory service offerings.

What Your Days Will Look Like

  • Reviewing financial and operational performance, identifying key issues for clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior team members in advising corporates, lenders, sponsors and funds on restructuring and turnaround options.
  • Conducting cash flow and financial modelling, assessing short-term requirements and long-term viability.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for boards, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting Insolvency Practitioners with formal appointments (e.g. administrations, liquidations, CVAs, restructuring plans), including managing trading businesses during insolvency.
  • Using technology and digital tools to deliver analysis efficiently and explore innovative solutions.
  • Attending industry-wide restructuring events to develop technical knowledge and expand professional networks, including formal training courses and seminars.

This Role Is For You If You

  • Are enthusiastic and proactive with an interest in helping companies navigate through difficult circumstances.
  • Have a CA/ACA/ACCA Qualification (or international equivalent) or equivalent work experience.
  • Have sound financial analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Have commercial awareness in restructuring and/or insolvency situations, plus a genuine interest in how businesses work.
  • Stay current with digital tools, including GenAI, that can assist in solving client problems and discovering new opportunities.
  • Are committed to business development and supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Are committed to continued personal development and helping to develop those in your team.
