As Regulatory Reporting Team Leader, you will be responsible for management of the X- Line of Service (xLoS) Regulatory Reporting team, made up of Training Coordinators and Reporting Officers which is ultimately responsible for implementation, monitoring and tracking of all regulatory technical training within the firm (~500,000 pieces of learning annually for ~18,500 Partners and staff). The successful candidate will also be the LI&R point of contact for all regulatory inspections matters, supported by the Regulatory Manager, working directly with the wider People Function teams (Business Partnering, and the Talent, Development and Coaching (TD&C) Centre of Excellence), alongside Assurance, Risk and Quality, and Office of General Counsel. You will manage responses to internal and external reviews, and ensure that actions from the various improvement and action plans are appropriately implemented.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the xLoS Regulatory Reporting team, including direct management of three Managers and a team of approximately 11 Senior Associates. Ensure seamless coordination and delivery of regulatory training across Audit, Risk, Tax, and Operate lines of service.

Work closely with LI&R Programme Team Leaders to manage the regulatory technical book of work, demonstrating agility to reprioritise portfolios and create capacity for new work requests as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Act as the reviewer for all agreed regulatory activities related to mandatory training deadlines, supporting the firm’s Audit licence to operate, and compliance with global standards. Maintain accountability for risk and quality management, ensuring transparency of regulated training requirements. Facilitate conversations with regulatory bodies and/or internal inspection teams as required.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Engage and influence senior stakeholders across various functions, providing status updates, escalating training breaches, and recommending improvements. Collaborate with teams to ensure timely implementation and tracking of training interventions for compliance. Provide assurance to stakeholders – including the Audit Executive, internal/global inspection teams, and regulators- that adequate controls are in place to ensure compliance with all UK and global mandatory regulatory training policies and external inspection requirements.
This Role Is For You If
- You are an experienced Senior Manager with extensive experience in a regulatory landscape, possessing a commercial mindset and a strong grasp of the technical curriculum and its implications for the firm, ensuring compliance and strategic decision-making.
- You possess exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in coaching and developing team members, effectively managing performance and providing holistic support for team wellbeing and providing pastoral support, where needed.
- You have a proven ability to build long-term relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels, leveraging connections across multi-location teams to drive collaboration and achieve shared goals.
- You excel in managing complex portfolios, with strong project management skills that allow you to embrace and navigate change, delivering successful outcomes within tight deadlines.
- You bring creativity and innovation to tackle challenges, inspire change, and champion others to deliver consistently effective results, fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and inclusion. You are adept at supporting the team in transformational activities, focusing on creating capacity by implementing efficiencies through new ways of working supported by technological advancements and outsourcing tasks to service delivery centers.
- You demonstrate resilience and remain calm under pressure, maintaining a positive, can-do attitude that drives success, even when dealing with ambiguity and challenging the status quo to enable more effective and efficient ways of working across multiple projects, and to promote new and best practices.
