Our team focuses on non-life, life, banking, and non-insurance sectors, led by a fifteen-strong partner team. We are a key part of the 1000+ strong actuarial community in PwC worldwide, collaborating across disciplines. Role Overview Joining the Non-Life Actuarial team offers the opportunity to provide general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, regulators, private equity firms, and related companies like agents and administrators. Our work involves advising on business risks, regulatory updates, developing risk analysis and mathematical models to enhance forecasting, limit risks, and leverage data for strategic decisions. We serve a diverse client base, including multinational insurers, Lloyd’s & London Market, UK & European Personal & Commercial lines, and Reinsurance markets. Responsibilities Provide advice on solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, financial modelling, and regulatory compliance. Manage and deliver multiple actuarial and multidisciplinary projects concurrently. Act as the main client contact for assignments, fostering strong relationships. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and international network firms. Support strategic practice development, including core areas like IFRS 17, risk, and capital, and develop training programs. Mentor and develop junior staff through coaching and career guidance. Candidate Profile Recognized experience as a general insurance consultant or significant project delivery within the industry. Experience managing actuarial or multidisciplinary projects, with responsibilities for team development and project delivery within budget and timeline. Knowledge of reserving, pricing techniques, regulatory issues, and financial reporting, risk, and capital management, including Solvency II and IFRS 17. Experience with SAO and Lloyd’s is advantageous. Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly. Commercial awareness of broader insurance industry issues.
