This is a 13‑month fixed‑term opportunity. PwC’s Security Clearance team manages all UK Government clearances above BPSS, supporting business needs and government clients. All PwC staff working with Government or Public Sector clients must meet BPSS standards. For sensitive work, the team initiates higher‑level clearances such as CTC, AC, SC, DV, or Police vetting.
If successful, your responsibilities will include:
- End‑to‑end clearance processing
- Aftercare
- Database management within secure systems
- Liaising with government stakeholders and vetting agencies

What Your Days Will Look Like:
- Oversee security clearance requests for PwC applicants
- Handle daily actions and aftercare responsibilities
- Coordinate with client security teams and vetting agencies
- Manage business cases and additional information as needed
- Provide responsive, professional advice by addressing queries in the team mailbox
- Coordinate with both internal PwC teams and external client teams to ensure effective communication and support
- Produce regular, standardised Management Information (MI) reports to present insights and trends to Government, Healthcare industry boards, and firm‑wide Security Controllers
- Perform regular data integrity checks and data cleansing to maintain high‑quality information in the clearance database
- Share knowledge and best practice across the team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in processes and service delivery

- You are comfortable working independently and across multiple cases simultaneously
- You maintain a high attention to detail, especially when processing high volumes of work
- You can effectively manage expectations and escalate to firm‑wide Security Controllers where necessary
- You are resilient and proactive with a positive, agile attitude towards changing demands and peaks/troughs in workload
- You can adhere to strict data protection protocols and handle sensitive information appropriately
- You have a knowledge of UK Government clearances or an understanding of clearance vetting (preferred, not essential)
Please note: If successful, you will be required to complete the UK Government’s security vetting process (HMG security vetting) to ensure compliance with government standards and to safely handle sensitive information.
