We are seeking a motivated and solutionsâfocused Senior Associate to join our specialist team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, enjoys working at the centre of change, and wants to contribute to a collaborative and highâperforming environment. The role requires a practical and methodical problemâsolver with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the firm, comfortable delivering clear and sometimes challenging messages, and keen to continuously develop your knowledge and expertise. While prior experience or knowledge of independence or conflicts rules would be advantageous, it is not essential. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to enable you to succeed in the role.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- Providing advice and guidance regarding queries submitted by the practice. This will involve the initial interpretation of the firm's independence rules against specific query related facts and the development of initial advice on matters under review.
- Input into a number of the core Independence processes within the Corporate Independence team, which are key to operational activities.
- Managing own portfolio of consultations and assessments with key stakeholders in the practice to give guidance on Independence considerations.
- Other adâhoc projects as the department so determines from time to time, including the provision of general support to other independence activities.

- Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of commercial / clientâfacing issues, and empathy with the client facing practitioners who the Independence team support;
- Intellectual capacity to make good judgements with strong analytical, organisational, project management skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact with selfâconfidence at all levels, as well as managing internal relationships, e.g. with key stakeholders;
- Ability to interact with others' demands providing support and/or influencing, with the flexibility to change behaviour where necessary;
- A conscientious, ambitious team player, with good selfâmanagement skills and an ability to take initiative.
