About the Role
PwCβs M&A Ops team assists both Corporate and Private Equity (PE) clients in a wide range of business critical operational and transformational challenges, driven by Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activity. We advise our clients on deals with values ranging from £50 million to over £10 billion and our clients include some of the most well-known brands and businesses in the world.
Our team has c.200 dynamic and friendly people from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. We recruit proactively from industry, consulting, private equity and audit to create a blend of relevant experience to support each transaction. Within M&A Ops, we have a team of technology specialists with deep experience and are looking to enhance this team through select, high calibre appointments.
We are looking for a technology expert who currently operates in a technical role. As a lead developer, DBA, product manager or scrum master within a software, tech-enabled business.
What your days will look like
M&A Ops focuses on providing support for potential and actual M&A transactions and assists clients in all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post deal, including:
β Pre-deal value creation advisory; helping clients to prepare their business, or parts of their business for sale
β Buy and sell side product and technology platform due diligence; reviewing and reporting on the technology risks and opportunities for the business
β Synergy development and review; helping to develop or providing an external independent review on the level of synergies available from putting two or more businesses together
β Carve out and divestment support; helping to develop the standalone operating model, one-off costs and standalone operating costs of a divestment
β Taking control and 100 day planning; helping our clients to safely take control of the business, manage risks and deliver βquick winsβ during the first 100 days of ownership
β Mergers & Acquisitions Integration; helping our clients protect and grow the value of an acquisition, develop a robust and realistic integration plan and then executing on it
β Post-acquisition performance improvement; reviewing where the value might lie in the business and how operational improvements and realistic / sustainable cost savings can be achieved
This role is for you if have
β A broad technical understanding of software development and product management across either the product or development lifecycles;
β Development processes, concepts (especially in an agile environment) roadmaps and timelines;
β Developing and executing a technology product strategy and vision;
β Managed one or more development budgets and developed / evaluated R&D return on investments;
β Planned new features and changes to a product (including research on use cases, market positioning and competitor analysis) and experience in business case creation, detailed functional specifications and wire-frames;
β Prototyped and demonstrated new product ideas / features to stakeholders and built consensus for approval;
β A track record of developing and launching products, including customer implementation and / or supporting technical sales and support functions;
