Across Financial Services, clients are seeking support to reimagine the digital experiences they deliver to their customers with a keen focus on their mobile channel. Our Customer‑led Transformation team is seeking an experienced mobile architect to be a key member of our team that will support sales activity, lead mobile architecture design during discovery phases and oversee engineering teams during our implementations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of enterprise‑grade mobile solutions across Android, iOS, and cross‑platform (e.g. React Native). You will define architecture principles and patterns, translate business needs into scalable technical designs, and ensure secure, highly available, and user‑centric mobile products. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with governance, stakeholder communication, and team mentorship. You will champion engineering excellence, drive a cloud‑first approach and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance products and platforms.

What Your Days Will Look Like

You are a strategic engineering leader with deep expertise in mobile architecture and delivery across native (Android, iOS) and cross‑platform (React Native, Flutter) technologies. You combine technical depth with commercial acumen to help financial institutions modernise their customer and colleague experiences through secure, scalable, and compliant mobile platforms.

You define and govern mobile architecture blueprints that balance innovation, resilience, and cost‑effectiveness across complex client environments. You lead multidisciplinary teams—both internal and client‑side—to deliver robust mobile capabilities that meet stringent regulatory, security, and performance standards.

You set the direction for architecture patterns, engineering practices, and delivery frameworks, ensuring consistency and quality across multiple concurrent programmes. You are adept at diagnosing delivery challenges, introducing scalable DevOps and CI/CD models, and embedding disciplined quality and documentation standards.

You engage credibly with senior client stakeholders—CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of Digital—to translate business goals into actionable technology roadmaps and investment cases. You are comfortable leading solution design discussions, shaping RFP responses, and guiding clients through complex technology choices with clarity and confidence.

This Role Is For You If

You can leverage expertise in AI technologies to optimise development processes, improve code quality, and accelerate delivery. You will also demonstrate a strong understanding of mobile application security fundamentals, including the integration of widely adopted security products within mobile banking applications.

What You’ll Receive From Us

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
