This role focuses on advising clients across the deal lifecycle — from pre-deal Technology Due Diligence (Tech DD) through to post-deal separation and integration planning including IT blueprint design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture thinking, shape client recommendations, and oversee delivery of technology strategies, target architectures, and cost models across all IT domains (applications, data, infrastructure, and security).
  • Pre-Deal (Technology Due Diligence)
  • Lead assessments of target company technology landscapes, including applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models.
  • Identify key risks, technical debt, and value creation opportunities to inform deal decisions.
  • Provide clear, commercially grounded insights for investment committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Post-Deal (Separation & Integration)
    • Define target-state Enterprise Architecture for integrations or standalone entities.
    • Lead development of technology blueprints and transition architectures across all IT domains.
    • Oversee data separation, migration, and application disentanglement strategies.
    • Shape TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) design, including scope, duration, and exit planning.
  • Cost & Value Analysis
    • Lead development of standalone cost models, including run-rate IT costs and operating models.
    • Oversee estimation of one-off separation or integration costs.
    • Identify and quantify synergies, stranded costs, and optimisation opportunities.
    • Translate architecture decisions into clear commercial implications.

This Role Is For You If

    • Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and senior business stakeholders.
    • Lead multi-disciplinary teams across deals and transformation engagements.
    • Drive high-quality client deliverables, proposals, and thought leadership.
    • Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture across multiple domains.
    • Proven track record in M&A, carve-outs, separations, or integrations.
    • Experience in Technology Due Diligence and/or IT strategy.
    • Strong commercial acumen with experience building and interpreting cost models.
    • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and data architectures.
    • Experience within a consulting or deals environment.
    • Familiarity with Private Equity clients and transaction lifecycles.
    • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
