Overview
Legal Operations brings together a multi-disciplinary approach combining knowledge and skills across the legal, regulatory, data, technology and delivery management domains. We deliver successful business outcomes on a range of different types of work at varying scales including: managing large data-led contract remediation engagements, providing legal support on individual contract negotiations and running client outreach and query management helpdesks.
This opportunity is in our fast growing team as a Legal Operations Commercial Senior Associate. We are looking for legal-focused professionals who have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in a legal and/or corporate environment.
What Your Days Will Look Like
The responsibilities of each role will vary depending on client needs but may include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Following a predefined approach to negotiations
- Managing escalations of complex cases, ensuring the right SME insight is obtained and cases are brought to a resolution
- Case and documentation review - analysing legal and other documents to identify key facts, anomalies, etc., for categorisation & checking legal documentation for quality, consistency and content
This Role Is For You If You Have
- Relevant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably at an in-house legal department or leading law firm
- Must possess a degree or international equivalent in a legal subject
- Proven ability to integrate well into a team and build relationships with senior stakeholders
- Proven analytical and sceptical mindset with an ability to develop solutions to technical challenges
- Self starter and motivated to succeed
