About the role:

PwC UK is seeking a Law Firm Advisory Director to help grow and lead our consulting work with law firms and professional services organisations. The Director will play a senior role in expanding PwC’s presence in the legal sector, originating opportunities, building trusted relationships with law firm leadership teams, shaping propositions, and supporting the delivery of high-impact transformation programmes. This role is intended for a senior legal sector operator or consultant with a strong understanding of how law firms work, how partners make decisions, and how firms are responding to market pressures around growth, profitability, pricing, AI, operating model change, technology, resilience and client expectations.

What your days will look like:

  • Originate and convert consulting opportunities with law firms and professional services clients, building trusted relationships with Managing Partners, COOs, CFOs and other senior leaders.
  • Shape and sell practical strategy and advisory propositions across strategy, growth, operating model transformation, pricing, profitability, AI adoption, deals and integration.
  • Lead high-quality client delivery, bringing sector insight, commercial challenge and practical recommendations tailored to law firm leadership teams.
  • Work across PwC to combine expertise from Consulting, Deals, Tax, and Managed Services into joined-up client solutions.
  • Build market eminence through thought leadership, events, targeted client engagement and clear points of view on the future of law firms.
  • Coach and develop the team, strengthening PwC’s legal sector knowledge, proposal quality and delivery capability.

This role is for you if you have:

  • Deep understanding of the legal sector, including UK, international and US law firm models.
  • Strong network across senior law firm decision-makers, ideally including Managing Partners, COOs, CFOs and strategy leaders.
  • Proven ability to originate, shape and sell advisory or transformation work.
  • Experience working at Director level or equivalent in a law firm, consulting firm, professional services organisation or legal sector business.
  • Strong understanding of law firm economics, partner decision-making, pricing, profitability, operating models and change dynamics.
  • Experience leading or supporting complex transformation, growth, integration or performance improvement programmes.
  • Ability to work confidently with senior partners and executive teams, including in sensitive or high-stakes situations.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
