The Lead Solution Consultant is a senior technical authority within the Managed Cyber Defence team, bridging engineering and pre‑sales. The role focuses on designing, developing and improving the platforms that support the service, including Google SecOps, D3 Security SOAR, Cortex XDR and wider EDR/NDR tooling, while also acting as an escalation point for junior engineers. In addition, the role supports pre‑sales by designing and presenting services to prospective clients, advising on proposals and helping secure new business. It also helps shape the future direction of the service by contributing to the technical roadmap, evaluating new capabilities and guiding platform investment.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- Lead complex engineering across the Managed Cyber Defence platform stack, including SOAR automation, detection engineering, and EDR/NDR integration, while maintaining high documentation and quality standards.
- Act as the senior escalation point for junior engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and technical review to strengthen team capability and delivery quality.
- Support pre‑sales by designing accurate solutions, contributing technical authority to proposals, leading bids where needed, and delivering compelling client presentations that help win new business.
- Shape the service roadmap through strategy, R&D, continuous improvement, vendor relationships, and trusted client advisory work, identifying growth, innovation, and service enhancement opportunities.
This Role Is For You
- Strong written and verbal communication for proposals, reports, presentations and bid defence.
- Deep hands‑on expertise across SIEM, XDR, EDR, NDR and SOAR platforms.
- Experience with Google SecOps, Cortex XDR or Microsoft Sentinel/Defender.
- Skilled in solution design, pre‑sales, delivery lifecycle, planning and sprint coordination.
- Strong focus on quality, mentoring, stakeholder relationships and client value.
- Self‑starting, adaptable, customer‑focused and driven to apply and share expertise.
