About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Associate for our Tax Risk and Dispute Resolution team.

We help clients manage every aspect of their relationship with HMRC, from building robust tax risk frameworks to resolving complex disputes.

Combining former HMRC officers, tax advisers, lawyers, and accountants, we bring a rounded perspective to every challenge.

As HMRC increases its focus on compliance, clients need advisers with technical expertise, practical experience, and creative thinking.

Our UK-wide, partner-led team supports individuals and privately owned businesses with commercially grounded, technically strong advice.

  • What your days will look like
  • Supporting clients with tax governance, including Tax Strategy, Senior Accounting Officer, CCO legislation, Business Risk Review requirements, and the design and documentation of effective tax risk and control frameworks.
  • Managing HMRC enquiries, investigations, formal disclosures, correspondence, and discussions, while helping clients navigate complex compliance issues clearly, confidently, and commercially.
  • Analysing and advising on HMRC powers, including error penalties, assessments, information notices, reviews, appeals, and related procedural matters.
  • Applying dispute resolution techniques, including negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and formal appeals, while supporting market-facing business development and contributing to the team's continued growth.
