About The Role
PwC Operate delivers managed services supporting clients’ regulatory, risk and compliance agendas, combining deep expertise, operational capability and advanced technology. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of Financial Crime activities, including Transaction Monitoring, KYC, CDD, Quality Control and investigations. You will independently manage complex investigations, applying strong judgement to deliver fair, risk-based and evidence-backed outcomes. Alongside this, you will support quality assurance, coaching and capability development across the team. What Your Days Will Look Like
- Manage medium–high complexity Financial Crime investigations, reviewing customer data, transactions and evidence to identify suspicious activity.
- Apply professional judgement to assess risk, determine case outcomes and ensure robust documentation.
- Support a range of activities (e.g. Transaction Monitoring, KYC/CDD, PEP and Sanctions Screening, QC).
- Conduct quality reviews and provide feedback, coaching and technical guidance to Associates.
- Prepare and review investigation reports, regulatory submissions and escalation materials.
- Drive process improvements, manage risks, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory, client and PwC standards, escalating issues appropriately.
This Role Is For You If
- Degree qualified or equivalent Financial Crime experience, with exposure to investigations, KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, or Quality Control.
- Strong understanding of Financial Crime risks, typologies, and regulatory expectations.
- Proven experience independently handling investigations or alerts, including SAR/DAML submissions (desirable).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgement.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
- Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced environments, collaborate with others, and provide coaching or quality support; relevant qualifications or tech awareness beneficial but not essential.
