Overview
At PwC CI, the Digital Audit practice supports external financial statement audit engagements by testing IT controls, automated processes and data analytics. The role delivers assurance to diverse clients across the Channel Islands, with a focus on Financial Services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Digital Audit team in support of external financial statement audit teams.
- Plan and perform IT control testing including general controls, application controls and key report interfaces.
- Use digital assets and tooling to test IT general controls.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for Digital Audit engagements.
- Provide insights to clients on control environment integrity, process efficiency and management information.
- Co‑train and up‑skill junior staff and coach engagement teams.
- Build relationships with senior client management and maintain internal PwC networks.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology or Business Studies.
- Professional qualification such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, ISO27001, ISO22301 or equivalent.
- PRINCE2 or Agile project management certification.
- Experience in internal or external audit/assurance engagements focused on IT and digital controls.
- Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and coach junior staff.
- Knowledge of COSO, ITIL, COBIT, ISAE 3402/SSAE18, ISO27001/22301, and data‑analytics tools (Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power BI).
Desired Skills
- Financial Services sector knowledge and familiarity with the Channel Islands market.
- Experience in providing support to external FS audit teams.
- Data analytics competency and familiarity with AI tooling.
- Cybersecurity and privacy engagement experience.
Travel
Limited travel, project dependent.
