We are seeking reliable and experienced Owner car Drivers to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods using your own car, efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service; you must be reliable and punctual. The ideal candidates will have either an estate car, medium-sized hatchback, or possibly a small van. Full training will be given.

Normal working days are Tuesday to Saturday, with working hours from 11:30 to 19:00. The hours can be adjusted to suit the individual's circumstances. Business class insurance is provided on the days you work. Pay is £1.30 per completed stop; once trained, you will be looking to deliver 80 to 100 stops per day.

  • Operate your own vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of parcels, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage paperwork related to deliveries and delivery confirmations.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type.
  • Ideally have experience within the parcel delivery industry.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations is preferred.
