PW Construction are looking for a Civils System Specialist. Your focus will be supporting the technicians delivering maintenance tasks, ongoing engineering projects and asset management.

Duties will include:

  • Support and oversee the real-time engineering standards of all contracts, ensuring they meet both legislation in relation to the Civils System Specialists' area of expertise.
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards & Legislation.
  • Help with second line technical support as required, detailed fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, testing and commissioning.
  • Apply engineering expertise, focused on asset management and data to assist the group leader.
  • Support the Technical Lead, with asset management, by identifying and interpreting data streams for all assets to confirm asset condition, life expectancy, accuracy of current maintenance schedules and the LSM/CAPEX renewal investment plan.
  • Produce the necessary analysis reports and presentations related to the task.

I am looking for someone that can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of Health and Safety (H&S) Regulations and shows an appreciation of work procedures, always promoting good practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified to a high standard in the field of Civil engineering expertise, with a minimum 3 years' experience in a leading Engineering role.
  • A lower qualification may be considered with proven demonstrable work experience in a leading Engineering role.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • NVQ Trainer and Assessor.
  • Knowledge and experience of a railway/Industrial engineering and operational environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Safety/crisis/incident management.
  • Change Management (CSM-RA).
  • Accident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of internal and external regulations/standards in the Health & Safety, Quality and Environment fields.
  • The ability to communicate in French is not essential but would be an advantage.
