Job Role: Fire Door Project Manager

Salary: Up to £65K + Package DOE

PW Construction Recruitment are looking to recruit a Fire Door Project Manager for our client based in Basildon.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of fire door works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with programme and specification.

You will act as the key link between operatives, project management, clients, and head office maintaining high standards of workmanship, documentation, and site control across multiple live environments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead fire door projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction throughout.
• Coordinate with procurement, estimating, planning, and the wider internal team to ensure materials, documentation, and approvals are in place.
• Ensure projects are set up accurately on OneTrace, directly or via support staff.
• Maintain project programmes and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all fire door installations, inspections, and remedials meet EFPS standards, manufacturer specifications, and BlueSky accreditation requirements.
• Carry out site audits, quality checks, and compliance verifications.
• Provide clear updates to clients and internal teams. Escalating risks, delays, or commercial concerns early, with recommended solutions.
• Assess labour requirements and coordinate appropriate operatives.
• Carry out fire door surveys, measurements, and condition reports.
• Provide technical input to ensure compliant, cost effective solutions.
• Assist estimating in sourcing better products and improving value.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely in line with RAMS and CDM requirements.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced in fire door or passive fire protection project management.
• Understanding of fire door standards and third party accreditation requirements.
• Competent in surveying, measuring, and reporting on fire doors.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• SMSTS, First Aid, and fire door training preferred.
