Job Overview
PVNW have an opportunity for Class 1 night drivers to work at one of our clients in PURFLEET ESSEX.
Responsibilities
- Distribution / Collection of full trailer loads of timber.
- No handball required.
- Loads are the driver's responsibility; ensure that they are strapped and secured at all times (experience with curtains and strapping required).
Requirements
- Driving Class 1 with at least 1 year of experience for UK‑based companies.
- Driver CPC (required).
- Valid UK Category C licence.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Full CPC card, driver qualification card.
- Good knowledge of the Highway Code, EU driver hours and Working Time Directive.
- Assessment required including a theory test and driving assessment.
Schedule & Hours
10‑hour shift, Monday–Friday 18:00 pm to 02:00 am.
No weekends or bank holidays.
Typically depot‑to‑depot long‑distance runs.
Closed at Christmas.
Job Type & Salary
Temporary contract, Temp to perm.
Salary: £18.00 – £24.00 per hour.
